At Ancestrio LLC, we are committed to ensuring your unique surname heritage books and personalized family editions reach you safely and efficiently. This policy outlines our shipping procedures, delivery expectations, and important information regarding your order.
1. Order Processing Times
The time it takes to prepare your order for shipment varies depending on the type of product:
Standard Surname Heritage Books & Merchandise: Orders for these items are typically processed within 7-14 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) after your order is placed.
Personalized/Customized Books: These editions require a collaborative creation process. Production begins only after your digital proof has been approved (as detailed in your Personalized Book Agreement and our Terms of Service). Once proof approval is confirmed, the production and processing time for your personalized book is also typically 7-14 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays).
Please note: Processing times are separate from shipping times. Large orders or peak seasons may require additional processing time.
2. Shipping Methods & Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order, the chosen shipping method, and your delivery address. We partner with major national and international carriers to ensure reliable delivery.
You will see available shipping options and their associated costs for your specific order before finalizing your purchase.
3. Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery times are estimates and begin once your order has been processed and shipped. They do not include the order processing time mentioned above.
Domestic Shipping (within the United States):
Standard Shipping: Typically 14-21 business days
Expedited Shipping: Typically 5-10 business days (if offered)
International Shipping:
Standard International Shipping: Typically [10-25 business days], but may take longer depending on the destination country's customs procedures.
Please note: Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and can be affected by factors outside of our control, such as carrier delays, customs processing, weather events, or public holidays.
4. Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number. You can use this number to monitor the progress of your delivery directly through the carrier's website.
5. International Shipping, Customs, and Duties
We ship worldwide! For all international orders, please be aware of the following:
Customs Duties, Taxes, and Fees: You are solely responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost paid to Ancestrio LLC. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs Clearance: Delays may occur due to customs processing in the destination country. We are not responsible for such delays.
Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that any products you order comply with the import laws and regulations of your country.
6. Risk of Loss
The risk of loss and title for all products purchased from Ancestrio LLC pass to you upon our delivery of the products to the carrier. This means we are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after they have been confirmed as delivered by the carrier.
7. Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address provided by you, your failure to claim the package, or refusal to pay customs duties/taxes, you will be responsible for the original shipping charges, any return shipping charges, and a re-shipping fee to send the package again. If you choose not to have the package re-shipped, no refund will be issued.
8. Lost or Damaged Packages in Transit
Damaged Upon Arrival: If your order arrives damaged, please refer to our Returns & Replacements Policy for instructions on how to report the issue within 7 days of delivery and request a replacement.
Lost in Transit: If your tracking information shows no updates for an extended period, or if your package is significantly delayed beyond the estimated delivery time, please contact the shipping carrier first. If the carrier cannot resolve the issue, contact us at support@ancestrio.pub within [X] days of the last tracking update (or estimated delivery date, whichever is later) so we can assist in investigating the situation.
9. Order Changes and Cancellations
Once an order is placed, it immediately enters our processing system. Therefore, we are generally unable to make changes or cancellations after an order has been confirmed. Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase. Refer to our Terms of Service for more details.
